NICK Williams, Head of Economics and Teacher of Business Studies at King’s Ely Senior, has set himself a mammoth running challenge to raise funds for a cause close to his heart.

Nick’s father, Tudor, was diagnosed with dementia five years ago, something which Nick says has had a heart-breaking impact on his family.

Nick has set himself the challenge of running 5 kilometres for 50 consecutive days to raise as much money as he can for the Alzheimer’s Society. He started the challenge on March 28th and is set to finish on May 16th.

Father-of-two Nick said: “The reason I am doing this is to support people like my father, who was diagnosed with dementia five years ago. The effect this has had on my family and in particular my mother has been truly heart-breaking. Any donations big or small will be really appreciated.”

At the time of writing this post, Nick has raised £430 for the charity. To support him, visit: https://bit.ly/3mCCjxM

Keep up the amazing work Nick – we are all rooting for you!
