DAVID Boothroyd, Head of Physical Education at King’s Ely Junior, has retired after being a part of the King’s family for a whopping 33 years!
To say that David has contributed greatly to our school community over the decades would be a slight understatement. During his time with us, he has been a PE Teacher, a Maths Teacher, Head of Boys’ Games and Housemaster of Goodwin House for 15 years.
When asked what he has enjoyed most about working at King’s, David said: “I’ve always felt that King’s has a fantastic family atmosphere where pupils, parents and staff are all heading in the same direction”.
Many of you reading this will have children who have been taught by David, some of you may have even been taught by him yourself.
