This morning (Wednesday 28th June) was ‘Move-Up Morning’ for pupils who are joining Year 9 in September.

The event is organised every year in the Summer Term. It is attended by pupils who are currently in Year 8 at King’s Ely Junior, as well as students who will starting in Year 9 in the Michaelmas Term from other schools.

As is the case with the majority of year groups at King’s for 2023-2024, Year 9 is at full capacity, and so there were lots of new faces for our students and staff to welcome!

Students met lots of new staff today, including their Tutors; they were given tours around Senior School; they discovered more about their soon-to-be timetables and daily routines; and of course there was time for some icebreaker games and teambuilding exercises.

We know that moving from Junior School to Senior School might feel daunting for some pupils, not least for those joining us from other schools, but we hope that today helped everyone to feel a little more at ease and excited for what is to come!
