CHILDREN and staff at King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep have been making the most of the sunshine by enjoying their morning assemblies outside in the garden.

The assembly during which these photos were taken was led by Mr North and Mrs Monk, and it was the first time that children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 had been together in such a way since March last year.

Faye Fenton-Stone, Head of King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep, said: “Our assemblies have been removed from the Teams multi-view to the outdoors and the cool of the morning shade. It is the first time since back in March 2020 that we have assembled as a whole school section, although socially distanced between year groups. It is an uplifting way to start the day and is another small step back to the normal way of things.”
