A highlight of the Lent Term events calendar at King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep took place just before the Easter break – Grandparents’ Afternoon!

Our Reception children were ecstatic to welcome their grannies, grandads, nannies, grandpas, grandmas, nanas, papas, and so forth into their classrooms to point out where they learn and play, introduce them to their teachers, and show them some of the work and creations they have completed recently. If the children’s grandparents were not able to attend for whatever reason, it did not matter, as uncles, aunties, godparents and family friends were able to join in on the fun too.

Everyone then came together in The Hall to witness our Reception classes showcase some of the things they have learnt about through their term topic of ‘Biomes: Exploring Biodiversity’, with fabulous singing, poetry, and all sorts of weird and wonderful facts. Of course, the children dressed to impress for the occasion, with everything from elephants to squirrels to arctic foxes represented.

Congratulations to all the children and our Reception Staff Team for such a splendid afternoon, thank you to our special guests for their unwavering support, bravo to our Acremont Catering Team for their delicious cakes and sweet treats, and thank you to Acremont’s Custodian, Mr Austin, for his delightful guitar playing!
