CONGRATULATIONS to King’s Ely Junior pupil, Luna, who has raised more than £400 for The Little Princess Trust!
Luna, who is in Year 4, celebrated her ninth birthday last month. She decided to have a significant amount of her hair cut off and to donate it to the trust, which provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other conditions.
Since 2006, the charity has provided more than 8,000 wigs and has given grants totalling more than £7 million towards research projects focussed on finding more effective treatments for childhood cancers.
As well as donating her hair, Luna has also raised £431 so far in donations from family and friends!
