Huge congratulations to all students and staff members who made our Sixth Form drama production – ‘Radium Girls’ – such a resounding success!

Eleven Sixth Formers were involved in the show – Finlay Beeton, Elizabeth Raynes, Anabelle Penn, Alexander New, Rufus Froy, Charlotte Senior, Bethan Prichard, Edith Thomson, Libby Hills, Isobel Holland, and Jack Tisi.

Our production (originally written by DW Gregory) was directed by Isaac Beeton, who is our Director in Residence. The show was staged in the Hayward Theatre from February 8th-10th, ahead of us taking it to the Edinburgh Fringe in the summer!

Mr Beeton, who is an Old Elean, said: “I would like to congratulate and thank the cast for all of their hard work and commitment running up to their four shows. I think it is safe to say that they captivated each audience with their powerful performances, which were driven by emotion and intensity.

“A special mention must go to Jack Tisi for operating the technical elements of the show. This was no easy task, with the amount of lighting changes, sound effects, and LEDs used in each performance.

“On behalf of the team, I would also like to thank everyone who came to watch the show! We hugely appreciate all of the support that the play has received, and to have three of our four performances sell out is amazing.

“If you missed the show this time, or you would like to see it again, catch us in Edinburgh this summer when we tour the show to the Ed Fringe. We cannot wait!”
