As many of you will know, Sword and Dagger is an annual King's Ely tradition and one of many events that is unique to the school, such as Hoop Trundle and Humphries Challenge.

Sword and Dagger is held towards the end of the Summer Term, and is organised through our outdoor education programme, Ely Scheme. 

The challenge sees students in Years 9-13 at King's Ely Senior and Sixth Form taking on the school assault course in teams of six from each House, while the whole school community is invited along to cheer them on. The atmosphere at this year's Sword and Dagger, held on July 1st, was electric!

Winners of the Dagger Competition (Junior) were Withburga House (girls) and Osmond House (boys)

Winners of the Sword Competition (Senior) - for the second year running - were Hill House (girls) and Hereward Hall (boys)

Mr James Houlston, our Director of Outdoor Education, said: "Every participant rose to the challenge, tackling the assault course with real determination, energy, and team spirit. The standard on display throughout the afternoon was a credit to all the Houses involved, and the competition once again showcased the resilience and camaraderie that define Ely Scheme. Well done to everyone who took part - the atmosphere and effort on show made for a memorable afternoon."
