A GROUP of Year 9 King’s Ely Senior students visited Southbank’s British Film Institute on January 8th to attend a special Spanish Film Study Day!

Esmeralda Salgado, Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) at King’s Ely Senior, said: “The day consisted of a wide variety of activities based around three short Spanish films, ‘Emperrado’, ‘La leyenda del espantapájaros’ and the award-winning ‘La Huida’.

“After lunch, students enjoyed the screening of the popular Spanish film, “Zipi y Zape y el Club de las Canicas’. Throughout the day, our pupils were exposed to lots of Spanish listening while learning new film specific vocabulary at GCSE level. It was a very enjoyable and productive day!”
