TWO local foodbanks were able to hand out Easter Eggs to families in need thanks to generous King’s Ely students, staff and families.

The girls in Withburga House at King’s Ely Senior decided to collect Easter Eggs to donate to Ely and Littleport Foodbanks in time for the Easter weekend.

Students, their families and King’s Ely staff went all out to support the collection, resulting in 80 large Easter Eggs and countless smaller eggs being donated.

The foodbanks are operated by volunteers who work tirelessly to tackle food poverty and hunger in East Cambridgeshire. To find out how you can support the scheme, visit https://ely.foodbank.org.uk/
