THE final round of the Blokfest Bouldering League took place at the iconic Castle Climbing Centre in London on March 16th.

The competition was as spectacular as ever, with some awesome problems and a buzzing atmosphere. Sadly due to injury and other commitments, the Squad numbers were down for the final competition of the season. Despite this, those who were able to attend put in their best efforts and came away with some fantastic scores:

Tom Biggs: 17 tops, 182 points
Ben Biggs: 16 tops, 169 points
James Schoenberg: 15 tops, 167 points

Director of Outdoor Education at King’s Ely Senior, Sophie Cheng, said: “It has been a pleasure to coach and train such a motivated and enthusiastic team, and watch as each individual has developed and progressed in their movement skills, tactical approach and overall power and strength.

“Thank you and congratulations to the Senior Bouldering Squad for a strong climbing season competing in 10 competitions throughout the country – Charlie Watson, Alex Layfield, Henry Rintoul, Harry Oliver Towers, Jamie Layfield, Rhys Phillips, Ben Biggs, Tom Biggs, Alex Scarborough, James Schoenberg and Mikey Turner.

“Thank you also to Brett Ffitch for helping to coach the Squad throughout the season.”
