WE have donated a van-full of second-hand textbooks, football kits and netball kits to one of our partner charities, Hope4Malawi, for its volunteers to share among children and families living in poverty.
King’s Ely has been supporting Hope4Malawi for around three years now by raising funds and awareness, and by donating school books and stationery. Six of King’s Ely’s Houses also sponsor a child each month as part of the school’s ongoing support of the charity’s amazing work out in Malawi – one of the world’s least developed countries.
Pictured are some of our Osmond House boys helping Mr Lott to load up the van. The items are being delivered to the charity via shipping container. This is the third donation like this that we have made to Hope4Malawi as a school community – some of our old books are already being used in the charity’s primary school library!
