A TRIP to Watford Palace Theatre proved to be both fun and educational for King’s Ely Senior students.

A group of GCSE and A Level Drama and Theatre students visited the theatre on January 24th to see The Wedding. Led by Amit Lahav, Founder and Creative Director of the critically acclaimed theatre company Gecko Theatre, the show is inspired by the complexities of human nature: the struggle between love and anger, creation and destruction, community and isolation.

Combining movement, imagery and provocative narratives in the company’s trademark style, the production, which is Gecko’s seventh touring production, brings these contracts into question with an emotionally charged and spectacular performance.

As well as seeing the show, King’s Ely students also got to meet Amit, who gave them some excellent advice to help them with their A Level devising work.
