It was not just the minibeasts that were mighty in our Reception classes' End of Year Performance - so too were the children's courage and confidence!

Families and friends of Team Reception came together in the Hayward Theatre to witness them perform the charming story of the 'Mega Mighty Minibeasts'.

One day, 'Ramble' and her friends’ lives are turned upside down when they read that they are not the mighty beasts that they thought they were. They are small, tiny minibeasts. They are all outraged, but as they search for answers, they learn about how important they truly are, and that even though they are mini, they have mighty jobs to do!

It was quite astonishing to witness children as young as four delivering their lines and singing their hearts out on such a big stage with so much conviction. From butterflies to bumble bees and ants to aphids, the children's costumes were also an absolute delight. Despite the intense heat during rehearsals and the performance itself, Reception really did do themselves, their teachers, and their loved ones proud.

Bravo, Reception. You reminded us that we are all capable of achieving mighty things if we put our minds to it; just like you. Thank you to all Reception staff for their constant nurture and guidance, and of course our parents and carers for their support too - we could not do it without you.
