PUPILS and staff at King’s Ely Junior kick-started the fundraising for their new charities of the academic year with a bumper cake sale on February 11th.

Their chosen charities – as voted for by the students themselves – are SPANA (The charity for the working animals of the world) and Cambridge and Huntingdon Deaf Children’s Society (CHDCS).

Thanks to our school community’s ever generous and enthusiastic efforts, a whopping £844 was raised. It looks like King’s Ely Junior is going to be able to raise lots of funds for these two important charities between now and the end of the academic year!
