The netball fans among you might have watched England Netball’s Vitality Roses play Netball Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls on television on Sunday (January 15th), but a group of our King’s Ely Junior pupils were lucky enough to watch the match live in London.

Thirty of our Years 7 and 8 students, and four members of staff, went to a sell-out Copper Box Arena to enjoy what was the final game of the Vitality Netball International Series.

It was a fiercely-contested match, which ended 63-59 to the Vitality Roses.

Olivia Petherick, one of our King’s Ely Junior Teachers who organised and attended the trip, said: “This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to witness the highest level of play. Pupils were enthralled to see netball played at an international level, and this should hopefully help them really enjoy their own netball this term.”
