YEAR 5 King’s Ely Junior pupils headed to Sheringham in Norfolk on September 13th as part of their studies on ‘Waves shape the shore’.

Year 5 Teacher, Mrs Whymark, said: “After travelling in Victorian style on the steam train to Sheringham, Year 5 had an adventurous day exploring the shore line for evidence of sea defences and investigating how ‘Waves shape the shore.’

“Many a stone was turned and many a sandwich munched before heading into The Mo Sheringham Museum to look for the oldest lifeboat and more Victorian treasures.

“Many thanks to the intrepid explorers Gary Williams, Jean Minchin, Nicola Sivier and Olivia Petherick who accompanied the trip and made sure I didn’t get left at the shore!
