YEAR 4 King’s Ely Junior pupils launched their ‘Here, There and Everywhere’ theme for the term with an exciting trip to Hinchingbrooke Country Park.
The trip on September 6th involved the students exploring the park through orienteering challenges and learning how to make a map of the play area, bearing in mind use of a key and ensuring it was to scale. Of course, all of this challenging work needed rewarding with a quick play on the equipment before lunch!
In the afternoon, they were introduced to the art of pizza making. The pupils all made their own dough and then cooked the finished pizza in fire-pits. While waiting to sample their culinary handiwork, the children made and practised using tree identification wheels.
