KING’S Ely Junior was delighted to both host and win the East Cambridgeshire Years 3 and 4 Schools Football Tournament.

Teams from 20 primary schools in the district flocked to the school on March 23rd to compete in the tournament, which was organised in conjunction with the Witchford School Sports Partnership.

The sun shone and all students played with great enthusiasm, but it was King’s Ely Junior’s players who were victorious on the day. They beat Littleport Community Primary School, Ely St John’s Community Primary School and St Andrew’s Primary School in Soham in the pool stage, before beating Isleham Primary School in the final.

Four King’s Ely Senior students also helped with the refereeing on the day.
