KING’S Ely International (KEI) students took some time out of their busy schedules to teach pupils at one of Ely’s primary schools.

Eleven KEI students visited Lantern Community Primary School on March 21st to work with pupils in Years 4 to 6 as part of their Language Leader Award. The Language Leader Award is run by Anglia Ruskin University and a section of the award requires the students to teach and promote the learning of different languages.

Head of ESOL at KEI, Melanie Franklin, said: “The pupils at the Lantern were really engaged and seemed thrilled to meet our students from the countries of Russia, Thailand, Italy and China. Our KEI students were passionate in their delivery and all gave outstanding lessons.”
