We have donated an incredible amount of items to Ely Foodbank this Harvest!

Volunteers at the Foodbank estimate that the mountain of non-perishable food and household items that a team of our Sixth Form students delivered on September 29th weighed a whopping 1,700 kilograms – and that is excluding the bags and boxes of goodies donated by our Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep communities.

On September 28th, we welcomed Cathy Wright, from Ely Foodbank, along to King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep, King’s Ely Prep and Fairstead House School’s Harvest Festival Service at Ely Cathedral. Cathy received a donation of £1,300.06p, which is from our community at Acremont Nursery and Pre-Prep.

Thank you to every single pupil, parent, carer, staff member and friend of King’s who has supported our Foodbank Appeal this Harvest. The Foodbank says that our generosity will make a significant difference to local families who are struggling to put food on their tables.
