THE past two weekends have seen intrepid King’s Ely Senior students reaching new heights in the Peak District.

Two Climbing Club trips have been held for students in Years 10 and 11, enabling them to work through their Level 1 skills. Some have even started on their Level 2 programme.

Pupils and staff were at Windgather Rocks, Stanage Edge and The Climbing Unit in Derby.

Our Senior Climbing Club is part of the abundant extra-curricular offering here at King’s. It is run through our unique outdoor education programme, Ely Scheme.

Kudos to all of the students for their sterling efforts and to our Ely Scheme Team for their organisation and instruction!
