King's Ely Sixth Form Charity Christmas Ball raises over £3,500 for Asthma + Lung UK

We are thrilled to announce that our 2025 Sixth Form Christmas Charity Ball raised more than £3,500 for Asthma + Lung UK!

This year's event raised a grand total of £3,616, taking our fundraising total for the charity, which is working tirelessly to improve the lives of people with lung conditions, to more than £60,000 to date.

Our Years 12 and 13 pupils dressed to impress for the annual Michaelmas Term celebration, which is now in its twenty-first year. As ever, the Monastic Barn looked spectacular and the food served was exceptional, with students enjoying crispy chicken stuffed with Taleggio cheese and pesto, or pumpkin risotto for their main. Dessert was a scrumptious milk chocolate delice with Oreo ice cream and Biscoff caramel.

Sixth Formers not only dined well but also enjoyed 'Heads or Tails' for a variety of amazing prizes, before hitting the dance floor!

Thank you to the following catering businesses, whose support and generosity enables us to raise so much for Asthma + Lung UK from the Christmas Ball each year:

Alliance Online, Kikkoman Soy Sauce UK, Kale & Damson, Carnevale, Aldens Butchers, Thomas Ridley Foodservice, Brakes UK, Albion Fine Foods, Henley Bridge

Thank you also to Mrs Jane Halls and the Sixth Form Staff Team for organising another hugely successful event for the students, and to our Kitchen and Catering Team who, despite having an extremely busy and challenging week in the lead-up to the Christmas Ball, still managed to deliver amazing food and service!
