CELIA Phillips retired from King’s Ely on May 25th after 21 years of loyal service with the school’s catering team.

Celia joined the team in September 1997 and has been nothing but hardworking, cheerful and a friend to everyone. We will all miss her greatly but wish her a long, happy retirement.

James (Jim) Murfet also left the school catering team recently after he too notched up 21 years’ service.

Jim joined King’s Ely in August 1997 and was the most reliable breakfast chef our catering manager, Shirley Jolly, could have wished for – as well as being the face behind the famous King’s Ely homemade biscuits and cookies, which he turned out by the thousand!

Like Celia, we wish Jim all the best for the future.
