YEAR 1 King’s Ely Acremont pupils enjoyed a trip to ‘Sunny Hunny’ in Norfolk on May 9th, although the weather was sadly far from sunny.

However, children and staff failed to let the rain dampen their spirits and they had a wonderful time at the Sea Life Centre, where they got up close to starfish and velvet crabs, and viewed sharks and stingrays.

Year 1 Teacher Jo Lyall said: “The penguins, seals and otters were very entertaining, and we saw the injured seals being nursed back to health before being released back into the wild. The giant underwater tunnel filled us with awe and wonder as we spent ages watching huge sea creatures glide and ripple overhead.

“Of course, no visit to Hunstanton would be complete without a visit to the beach and despite the typically British weather, we made sandcastles, traced our names and dug for treasure in the sand with characteristic enthusiasm and delight!”
