CHILDREN at King’s Ely Acremont and Nursery donned their wellies ready for a day of fun at South Angle Farm Park in Soham.

The visit on May 15th saw Nursery 2 and Reception pupils getting up close to a whole host of different animals, including alpacas, pigs and goats. A highlight for the children was feeding the lambs!

The children were also introduced to a selection of minibeasts and reptiles, including a centipede, corn snake, giant snails and a tarantula, which was much less intimidating than some of them first imagined! The children also met a bearded dragon and were able to stroke him and feed him mealworm, which they found fascinating.

The day ended with some time in the ‘quiet area’ on the farm, where the children were able to handle and feed Filo the rabbit and a family of very friendly and chatty guinea pigs.
