THE King’s Barbers – our wonderful all boys a cappella group – have three new members, including our first ever international Barber.

Gabriel Oestlund, who joined King’s Ely Sixth Form this year from Sweden, has joined the Barbers, as have Choral Scholar, Sam Barber, and Nelson Cuthbert-Jacques, who is in Year 9.

Gabriel was a chorister at Uppsala Cathedral in Sweden before moving to the UK for his A Level studies.

Peter North, Director of The King’s Barbers and who founded the group almost 30 years ago, said: “It’s great to have the boys singing together again after such a long time, even with social distancing, and they are working on some interesting projects that we hope to be able to share with you later in the year!”
