FOR the last few years, King’s Ely has hosted the annual Ely Colour Dash organised by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

But after Osfest on April 26th, more than 200 people put their best foot forward in the first ever King’s Ely Colour Run, organised by Torfrida House.

Pupils from Year 1 right the way through to Year 13 took part, as did parents, grandparents, teachers, members of the Senior Leadership Team, and friends of the school.

The Colour Run was not only a huge amount of fun and extremely messy, but it also looks set to have raised £600 for the school’s two charities this year – Cancer Research UK and the Tsavo Conservation Group.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event, including not just those who took part, but also the school grounds team for creating the route, the custodians for helping with the 20kg drums of paint and Rosie Holliday for sticking all of the labels on the T-shirts.

The countdown to King’s Ely Colour Run 2020 is now on…
