THANK you to everyone who supported our Old Eleans’ Regatta and Boat Club Open Day on June 26th!

Students, staff, families, Old Eleans and friends of King’s came together for the event. Not only was there the ever-popular Old Eleans Regatta, but there was also a formal boat naming ceremony, rowing taster sessions for parents, and plenty of refreshments.

Craig Ward, Head of Rowing at King’s, said: “It was fantastic to welcome so many Old Eleans along to the Regatta. The racing took place over a 250m course and it was short and sharp, with the current first boat winning the event overall.

“Next up was the boat naming ceremony, where our new double, purchased by the Old Eleans’ Committee and named ‘The Old Elean’, took to the water for the first time.

“The day was rounded off with our ever-supportive parents giving rowing a go in mixed boats, some for the first time ever! My thanks go to the Coaching Team for their help in pulling off such a wonderful day for the Boat Club.”
