Fun and frolics at our ‘Senior Christmas Fair’ have raised more than £1,000 for charity!

The Science Quad was a hive of festive activity on Monday (December 11th) lunchtime, as students and staff in Years 9 to 13 ran stalls, attractions, and challenges to raise as much money as possible for our Senior School charity of the year, Hope4Malawi.

Cakes were baked, teachers were sponged, games were played, photo booth poses were captured, hot chocolates were served, festive accessories were worn, and memories were made, all of which raised a fantastic £1,119 for Hope4Malawi.

King’s Ely Senior’s main charity mission this academic year is to raise £20,000 to help Hope4Malawi build a new classroom at Hope School. In a country where only 15% of children complete secondary school, this new classroom would have a significant impact on children in southern Malawi, and as a result, their families.

An event that we have coming up to raise further funds for the classroom campaign is our ‘Charity Burns Supper and Ceilidh’ on Friday, February 16th, 2024.

  • Traditional Scottish-themed, four-course Burns Supper, with wine
  • Hayward Theatre and Monastic Barn
  • Auction of items, tickets, and experiences, hosted by TV auctioneer, David Palmer
  • 7.30pm-11.30pm
  • Tickets £25 for the Ceilidh, £75 for both the Supper and the Ceilidh, with all funds raised going to Hope4Malawi
