WHAT a wonderful occasion May 27th’s ‘Farewell Afternoon’ for our King’s Ely International (KEI) students was!

Having celebrated their mutual academic achievements during an emotional ceremony in the Old Palace Lecture Room, the cohort of 27 students enjoyed a delicious BBQ (thank you Catering Team!), followed by the traditional end of year shirt signing and a fun-filled water gun fight in the Old Palace Gardens!

Matthew Norbury, our Director for International Students, said: “Warmed not just by some long-awaited spring weather but by their inner joy at finally being completely free to mix, celebrate and laugh together, this was an afternoon when anyone who had ever doubted it in recent months would reaffirm to themselves – this is why I love teaching!”
