The pennies and pounds have been counted and we can confirm that King’s Ely Prep’s Charity Christmas Fair raised a whopping £2,725!

The festive extravaganza is a firm favourite in our Prep School’s Michaelmas Term events calendar, and many people have said that they felt this year’s fair, held on December 13th, was bigger and better than ever before.

The Morbey Hall, classrooms, and even corridors were jam-packed with stalls and attractions, the majority of which were organised and run by the pupils.

The imagination and effort put into each and every stall was so admirable, with everything from festive face painting to edible stocking fillers, and Christmas-themed mathematical challenges to ‘hook a reindeer’.

Families and staff turned out in their droves to support the children, hence such a fabulous amount of money was raised. The £2,725 achieved now takes our fundraising total for our Prep School’s two chosen charities – Cancer Research UK and GIST Cancer UK – to £17,456. This sum has been raised since February this year, which is simply astonishing.

Thank you to our Prep School community for their ever-present support, energy, and generosity!
