WELL done to King’s Ely Senior student, Gabriel James, who snapped his way to victory in this year’s Swavesey Camera Club Open Competition!

Gabriel, who is in Year 11 and studying GCSE Photography, came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the ‘Age 14-17’ category of the competition with his urban landscape inspired photographs taken at the Cambridge Science Park, Trinity Lane and the A14.

Antonio Longo, Head of Photography at King’s Ely, said: “I am really proud of Gabriel’s achievements. He worked hard during lockdown to create a range of striking images for his coursework and his hardworking ethos has been rewarded.

“The judges were impressed with Gabriel’s technical and creative approach to his work, and complimentary of the impact of colour, composition and mood that his photographs have created.”
