Where did you grow up?
Brighton until I was 12, then Bournemouth.
Education:
Maths and Physics A-levels then onto the University of Hertfordshire for Business Information Systems.
Your previous place of work and role:
I have been a professional gambler for the past three years, but was a Maths Teacher for eleven years before that.
What are you most looking forward to about joining King’s Ely?
Working with a fantastic Head of Department.
Hobbies/interests outside of school:
All games. Chess, golf and Magic: The Gathering mainly, but I also play tennis, squash, pool, darts – the list is endless!
Any pets?
Three cats, Clever (the mum), Dasha and Enid (brother and sister).
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A police officer (Columbo specifically!)
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
To fly.
What was the last book you read?
‘Digital Fortress’ by Dan Brown.
What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?
R.E.M’s Losing My Religion.
What is your favourite film?
James Bond – The Man with the Golden Gun.
Do you have any phobias or fears?
I have vertigo.
