Durban, South Africa.

Education:

Sports Science (Exercise and Nutrition) followed by a PGCE with Biology as my main subject.

Your current role at King’s Ely and how long you have been a member of staff here:

I have been at King’s Ely for 10 years now. My current role is Teacher of Girls’ Games, Head of Netball and I will be teaching Food Technology from September 2019.

What do you enjoy most about working here:

Being outdoors everyday teaching PE, which is definitely the best department in school!

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

Playing Netball, baking and running around after two busy boys.

What did you want to be when you were growing up:

A teacher.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be:

Flying – I would never be stuck in traffic again!

What was the last book you read?

Elders, an Afrikaans Autobiography about walking the Camino.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

Mamma Mia!

What is your favourite film:

A Star is Born.

Do you have any phobias or fears:

Heights. And also seeing the South African Rugby team lose against Japan again!

Name three things you would want with you if stranded on a desert island for a week:

A fully equipped yacht with a nice 100 ft model so that I could land a helicopter on it, then a helicopter to land on my yacht and then a braai!
