An English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Teacher in Bursa, Turkey.

What are you most looking forward to about your new role and working at King’s Ely?

Working in a boarding house again after 20 years and in such a beautiful place.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Ballet dancer, doctor, opera singer, traveller, teacher: I couldn’t make up my mind!

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

Running (slowly) and looking after my garden in Turkey.

Any pets?

Not at the moment, unfortunately.

What is your favourite meal/food?

Pizza.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

To be able to run without ever getting tired.

Who is your hero?

Dorothy Hodgkin and Kathrine Switzer.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Raising my three kids.

What was the last book you read?

‘The Midnight Library’ by Matt Haig.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

Nothing would make me more nervous.

What is your favourite film?

Calamity Jane.

Do you have any phobias or fears?

Singing karaoke.

My grandparents.
