Where did you grow up?

In Eton and in Paredes De Coura, a small town in northern Portugal.

Education:

Caldicott Prep School, Eton College, Bath Spa University.

Your previous role and place of work:

Bar supervisor at Komedia Bath – a music venue, comedy club and nightclub.

What are you most looking forward to about working at King’s Ely?

I’m looking forward to being a part of such an amazing school community, and of course helping the Rowing Club as much as I can.

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

Formula 1, cycling, reading and travelling.

Any pets?

I have a Springer Spaniel called Rusty, who is very energetic, not very smart but very sweet.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A Royal Marine.

What is your favourite meal/food?

Hard question! Either really good mac and cheese, or a Portuguese sandwich called a Francesinha.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Flying – travel would be so easy and you could do so much good with the ability to fly.

Who is your hero?

Pete Reed – the former Olympic Rower and Naval Officer. He suffered a spinal stroke and yet is always working to educate others and help. His attitude is so positive.

What was the last book you read?

‘If We Were Villains’ by M. L. Rio.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

‘Bring It All Back’ by S Club 7.

What is your favourite film?

‘Hot Fuzz’ or ‘Shawshank Redemption’.

Do you have any phobias or fears?

Horses! They are too big – why are they so big?? Creepy.

Name three things you would want with you if stranded on a desert island for a week:

A large tarp, a spade and something to play Spotify on because I couldn’t survive without my music.
