Administrative Assistant at Sutton Primary School.

What are you most looking forward to about working at King’s Ely?

Working in such a beautiful building, around books and meeting all the students and staff of King’s Ely.

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

I love swimming, including ‘open water’ and ‘cold water’ swimming, which I did a lot of in the lakes in Switzerland where I have lived for the last nine years. I also love writing and had a book of comedy poetry, entitled ‘Modern Day Fairy Tales’, published in May this year.

Any pets?

I have a very shouty wire haired sausage dog, called Oggie.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A writer.

What is your favourite meal/food?

Any sandwich from Pret a Manger.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

To be able to breathe under water – useless but super fun!

Who is your hero?

My mum.

What was the last book you read?

‘The Man Who Died Twice’, by Richard Osman.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

‘The House of the Rising Sun’.

What is your favourite film?

‘Jaws’.

Do you have any phobias or fears?

Terrified of sharks (which I know makes my favourite film rather silly!).

Name three things you would want with you if stranded on a desert island for a week:

Books, fizzy water, endless supply of (Pret) sandwiches.
