YEAR 12 King’s Ely Sixth Form students enjoyed an action-packed ‘Fit For Work’ event on September 14th.

The programme, which involved all students in the year group, was delivered by Learning to Earning, a Southampton-based organisation that visits schools and colleges to help young adults become more marketable as they transition to life beyond school, college or university.

The seminar saw the students working in small groups to explore six main themes – skillset, mind-set, group-set, self-awareness, teaming and coaching. At the end of the day, the students came together in small teams to illustrate their learning from the day and draw parallels between studying for A Levels and the world of work beyond.

Learning to Earning also works with large international companies, such as Land Rover and Jaguar. For more information, go to: www.learningtoearning.co.uk.
