KING’S Ely Climbing Club’s final trip of the academic year was blessed with glorious sunshine and bright skies.

Students and staff headed to the Peak District for the trip, where new climbers learnt their foundation stage rope skills at Windgather.

The club’s Level 2 climbers were also out consolidating their skills and taking their first lead climbs indoors, with some completing this level of the club.

While most independent schools have an outdoor pursuits programme, the Ely Scheme is both unique and central to the whole King’s Ely experience, as young people are given tangible opportunities to push themselves to achieve beyond anything they ever thought possible.
