OUR Sixth Form History Discussion Group – An ‘Other’ Club – enjoyed a presentation and talk by Year 13 student, Eleanor Wallace, this week.

Eleanor talked with Year 12 students about ‘Queenship in the Twelfth Century’, which is the subject of her EPQ and which saw her being crowned the joint winner of this year’s Peterhouse Cambridge Vellacott History Essay Prize.

Colin Currie, Head of History at King’s Ely Senior, said: “Eleanor talked not just about her research but also about her journey as an historian from Year 11 through to applying to study at University of Cambridge this year.

“She was able to give some excellent advice on research, time management, and following your passion for a subject. We would like to thank Eleanor for her excellent presentation and helpful advice.”
