Eden achieved the A-Level grades that she needed to study Musical Theatre at Italia Conti performing arts academy.

Eden joined King's Ely Senior in Year 9 from Glebe House Prep School in Norfolk.

Eden studied Drama, Textiles, and Film Studies for her A-Levels.

We caught up with Eden after she received her A-Level results to find out more about her King's experience and what her next steps are...

Eden, what career path do you plan on pursuing?

I hope to continue in theatre for as long as possible! 

What is the quality and style of teaching like at King’s?

The amount of guidance and support that I had from my teachers is indescribable - not only in my academic studies but also in my co-curricular activities and my drama school auditions. The quality of teaching was leaps and bounds above what I ever could have imagined. You can tell that the teachers truly care about all of their students. 

What else did you participate in during your time at King’s?

Any part of school life that I could get involved in, I did. I took part in all of the productions available, music competitions, dance troupe, and I was also a boarder. I was honoured to be named the school's first ever Dance Prefect, as well as winning the Senior Contemporary category in the Vocal Festival, having a leading role in ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’, playing Emily in ‘Rebellious Women’, which we performed at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer, Trinity acting exams (completing my Grade 8 with Distinction), all of the Chapel Choir trips, being Deputy Head of Hill House, and last but by no means least, a School Prefect. I will be forever grateful to King's for all of the opportunities provided to me.

Do you feel that you have been well supported pastorally at King’s?

The support I received at King’s was immense. Whether it was for my academic studies, Trinity acting exams, or drama school auditions, teachers and staff were always there cheering me on throughout the whole journey.

What will you miss most about King’s and what did you enjoy most during your time here?

There are so many things that I will miss, but I think the main thing will be the King's community. As cliché as it sounds, the community at King's is unlike any other I have ever experienced. All staff and students are always there cheering each other on, making the school feel like one big family. I loved all of the productions and performance opportunities, and it brings me great saddness to say I will no longer be taking part in them as a King's student.

In what ways do you think King’s is unique or special compared to other schools?

King’s is extremely inclusive and everyone is celebrated for their talents and hard work. Unlike some schools which focus on one key area, like Sport or Music, King’s places the same amount of energy and focus on all departments and areas, meaning that all students are supported and celebrated.
