A FEAST of Easter fun at King’s Ely Junior has raised more than £500 for the school’s charity of the year.

Pupils, families and staff went baking crazy in support of the school’s Easter Bake Challenge and Cake Sale on March 27th. The event raised £420.98 and a Mosaic Coin Easter Egg Challenge held in the Morbey Hall on the same day raised £176.14, giving a whopping grand total of £597.12.

All funds raised will go directly to King’s Ely Junior’s charity of the year, the Uganda Marathon Appeal, which supports numerous different projects in Uganda, including Mengo Hospital in the capital, Kampala.

The winners of the cake category of the Easter Bake Challenge, judged by Mrs Davidson and Mrs Mackay, were: 1st) Sophie Hillier, 2nd) Freya Moss, 3rd) Alice Wallace.

And the winners of the brownie category were: 1st) Mary Garrod, 2nd) Tia Glenister, 3rd) William Kirkup.

Thank you to all students, families and staff who went all out to make the fundraising events such a big success!
