CHILDREN at King’s Ely Acremont Nursery were beside themselves with excitement when they discovered a ‘dragon’s egg’ in the play area!

They quickly decided that they needed to care for the egg by making a nest and then a cave for further protection. The children were also worried that the egg would get cold so they made some fire sticks.

You can imagine the excitement the next day when the children discovered that the egg had hatched and the baby dragon had flown away. They then received a letter from a princess who was looking after the baby dragon, who asked for the children to name him.

They had great fun composing a letter back and taking it to the post box. The children are all looking forward to seeing what will happen next…
