The finalists in our 2023 King’s Ely Senior Vocal Festival have been announced and they will be singing their hearts out at Ely Cathedral on Thursday (March 9th) evening!

Melodious students in Years 9 to 13 have been battling it out in a series of heats since February 23rd and, as ever, the courage and enthusiasm on display has been phenomenal. Every pupil who has taken part should be as proud of themselves as we are.

 

 

The following students have made it through to the Finals: Ben Kittoe, Isobel Holland, Sam Trueman, Thomas Bateman, Jessica Harding, Thomas Allen, Kit Attwater, Lauren Booth, Anna Ost, Josh Davidson, Alexandra Bowerman, Charlotte Senior, Emma Farmer, Cordelia Udy, Robert Reed, Eden Hewitt, Olivia Williams, Amy Bungard, Nell Kittoe, Aoife Willis, and Hugh Chippington.

Our Adjudicator on Thursday evening will be Old Elean and former member of The Choristers of Ely Cathedral Choir, George Bartle. George is a graduate of London’s Royal College of Music and Switzerland’s Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, as a singer and sackbut specialist. The concert starts at 7pm prompt and will end at around 9pm. Entry is free and everyone is welcome. Please remember to wrap up warm though!
