We are thrilled to report that King’s Ely Junior pupils and siblings, Finley and Jacob Dines, both achieved medals at the National Preparatory Schools’ Athletics Championships today (Monday 3rd July)!
The Dines duo were competing in javelin – Finley (left) in the Under 14 class, and Jacob (right) in the Under 12 class. Finley placed 1st with a 33.74m throw, and Jacob came 3rd (distance to be confirmed).
Skilful young athletes from prep schools across the UK travelled to The Pingles Stadium in Nuneaton to compete in the National Championships. Finley and Jacob qualified for today’s competition after both placing 2nd at the East Anglian Prep School Athletics Championships in June.
