KING’S Ely’s Hockey Girls certainly had reason to celebrate on October 9th.

The 1st XI Girls played against Stamford High School in the preliminary round of the England Hockey Nationals Schools Tier 1 Competition. It was a cracking game, with every King’s Ely player putting in a fantastic performance. The final score was 3-0 to King’s Ely, with Rebecca Daniel scoring all three goals.

On the same day, the U14A Girls also played in the Cambridge County Tier 2 Tournament. The girls beat Saffron Walden County High School 3-1 and Wisbech Grammar School 5-2 to win the competition. They will now go on to represent Cambridgeshire at the Regional Tier 2 Tournament in November.

Awesome effort girls – keep up the good work!
