DAN Everest, who is Head of Key Stage 2 at King’s Ely Junior, popped over to King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep this week to kick-start this term’s Year 2 to 3 Transition Programme!

Mr Everest read ‘Supertato: Run, Veggies, Run!’ (written by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet) to our Year 2 children, before introducing them to ‘Dash Robot’, who had the children enthralled.

Next week, our Year 2s will be heading over to King’s Ely Junior (KEJ) to explore coding with ‘Dash’ and Mr Everest, who is also Head of Computing and Digital Innovation at KEJ.

Our Year 2 to 3 Transition Programme runs throughout the Summer Term and is designed to ensure that our Year 2 classes are not only well prepared for the next stage of their King’s Ely journey come September, but that they are also excited.

The programme also includes swimming sessions at the KEJ pool, lunch at the Monastic Barn, Year 3 Teacher familiarisation activities and our whole school ‘Move up Morning’ on June 22nd!
