JOSE Rosa, Nursery Practitioner at King’s Ely Acremont Nursery, and Dan Everest, Head of Computing and Digital Innovation at King’s Ely Junior, represented the school at this year’s Ely Potato Race on October 12th.
Jose and Dan finished a very respectable 2nd in their heat. Huge well done both!
The potato race, organised by Isle of Ely Produce Ltd, sees competitors of all ages racing up and down Ely High Street with sacks of potatoes up to 20kg in weight on their shoulders or backs.
The quirky event is held to celebrate the humble potato and Ely Cathedral’s Harvest Festival, and it raises funds for local good causes.
