BOYS in Choir House, one of our Junior Boarding Houses, have raised almost £500 for Jimmy’s Cambridge – a charity that has been providing help to people experiencing homelessness in Cambridge for 25 years.

Their event – the ‘Choir House Camp’ – took place on the evening of June 18th and despite it having to be moved indoors to the Sports Hall due to the weather conditions, it was a roaring success.

The boys spent the evening playing games and enjoying pizzas together before settling down for the night on the floor in their sleeping bags, which provided them with a tiny glimpse of what life can be like for people who are sleeping rough or who are on the streets.

On June 21st, we also welcomed Barry Griffiths, Community Engagement Officer for Jimmy’s Cambridge, along to Choir House for a socially-distanced chat with the boys about the work the charity does and how the funds they have raised will help local people in need!
